Can a remake have a happier ending than the original and still be more hardcore?

The answer is hell yes!

Meh: Most fall into this catagorie.

Pbbfflliitt!: The shot for shot Psycho remake.

OMFG: Dawn of the Dead, Friday the 13th, and now this.

I give it:

Krug: You want to hear what I did to your daughter?

John: I want to hear you beg for your life.
